Eric Dier disappointed by draw with Crystal Palace

Eric Dier admits that a lack of creativity cost Spurs the three points in their 0-0 draw at home to Crystal Palace.

Eric Dier has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur should have done more to beat Crystal Palace following Saturday's 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane.

Spurs saw their hopes of European qualification suffer another setback on the weekend as they were held by their London rivals.

While he insists that it was good for his team to keep a clean sheet, Dier believes that a lack of creativity cost Tottenham the three points.

"Obviously it's always nice to get a clean sheet, but for a club like Tottenham that's not enough," he told their official website. "We need to win, especially at home. We need to create more and we must take our chances.

"Crystal Palace sat back a lot during the game and let us come onto them. That made it harder for us to create and find spaces and, although we created a few chances, we've got to create more opportunities and take them."

Spurs continue their Europa League campaign on Thursday when they travel to Turkey to face Besiktas.
