Steve Evans not planning to leave Rotherham United

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans states that he is committed to the club after being linked with Peterborough United.

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has reiterated that he has no plans to leave the club after being linked with Peterborough United.

The 52-year-old Scot emerged as the favourite to take over at London Road, due to living in Peterborough and having family members who support the Posh.

Evans has stated that he does not know if any talks have taken place between Peterborough and Rotherham chairman Tony Stewart.

"I have not spoken to my chairman and don't know whether Peterborough have made an approach or not; I don't think they have," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"I have said what the (Peterborough) chairman has said on social media. I have got a lot of respect for Darragh MacAnthony and Barry Fry (director of football) and they know that my project at Rotherham United is far from finished.

"As long as (chairman) tells me I'm the manager of this football club, I'll be the manager of this football club."

Peterborough are looking for a new manager after sacking Dave Robertson last week.
