Francisco Buyo: 'Paul Pogba wants Real Madrid move'

Paul Pogba wants to leave Juventus and team up with France teammates Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane, says Los Blancos' legendary goalkeeper Francisco Buyo.

Real Madrid legend Francisco Buyo has claimed that in-demand Juventus star Paul Pogba wants a summer move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The £70m-rated midfielder is one of Europe's hottest properties and is expected to leave Turin soon, with Real and Manchester City among those reportedly keen.

Los Blancos' president Florentino Perez is said to be determined to land the 22-year-old, whose contract with the Italian champions expires in 2019.

His France teammates Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane are at the club, and Buyo says that the hotshot is keen to add to the burgeoning French contingent in the Spanish capital.

"Perez loves good players, he praised Pogba and asked him if likes Real," he told Telefoot. "If you ask a player if he loves this team and he says he does, it means he wants to join, and in the near future.

"In addition to the favourable financial deal on offer, Real Madrid also present the prospect of joining his friends Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane.

"And [B team coach and former Juventus midfielder] Zinedine Zidane would be provide they spirit of Juve."

Pogba joined the Bianconeri on a Bosman after leaving Manchester United in 2012.
