Alvaro Morata: 'Real Madrid still confident'

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata insists that his team's recent run of four games without a win has not dented confidence at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has insisted that everyone at the Bernabeu is still pulling in the same direction despite a run of four games without a win for the Spanish giants.

Los Blancos have now drawn their last four matches in all competitions, including three in the league, to concede first spot in La Liga to capital rivals Atletico Madrid.

Morata, however, has denied suggestions that the dressing room are losing confidence in head coach Zinedine Zidane, who the Spaniard has described as "very talkative and communicative".

"[Zidane] is very talkative and communicative. More than giving out to us, there are conversations where he tells you exactly what he thinks. He says that to everyone," Morata told El Larguero.

"It is important for a good atmosphere. There is a good group, with people who have won everything, and youngsters too. We have everything to have a great year. This has just begun.

"Despite all that has happened, we are still level with the league leaders. Last year, with Juventus, we were were 10 or 12 points behind, and that really was a difficult situation."

Real Madrid return to league action with a trip to Gus Poyet's Real Betis on October 15.
