Marco Fabian: 'Real Madrid were simply better'

Cruz Azul midfielder Marco Fabian praises the quality of Real Madrid following Tuesday's Club World Cup semi-final.

Cruz Azul midfielder Marco Fabian has conceded that his side came up against a "simply superior" team in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup on Tuesday.

Real Madrid were the Mexicans' opponents in the last-four stage, with the Spanish outfit running out 4-0 winners in Morocco.

"The match was so difficult for us but we knew it was going to be. Real Madrid are a team that have the best players in the world. We tried our best but they were simply superior," Fabian told Goal.com.

Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Isco were on the scoresheet for the Spanish side.
