Real Madrid are level with Getafe at half time despite creating several good chances.

Getafe have defended well to go in at half time level with Real Madrid at 0-0.

The home team created many more chances and dominated the ball, but Miguel Angel Moya in the Getafe goal kept Madrid out.

Madrid dominated the opening exchanges but struggled to create a clear chance until Gonzalo Higuain was brought down outside the box. Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up, and only a good save from Moya kept the scores level.

On 20 minutes, Moya again kept Ronaldo out after a great move involving the Portuguese and Mesut Ozil saw him find space in the box.

Despite the home side's increasing dominance, Getafe did produce a chance of their own five minutes later when a counter-attack found Diego Castro in the area, but he couldn't beat the goalkeeper.

Ozil had a chance of his own soon after, shooting from the edge of the box but Moya again was in the way.

With five minutes to go, a lovely piece of skill saw the German international find space on the edge of the box again, but after failing with his attempted pass Ozil couldn't collect the ball when it rebounded back.

A minute later Luka Modric controlled the ball well inside the box but volleyed just over the bar. That was Madrid's last real chance and Getafe held on to stay level at the break.
