Preview: Queens Park Rangers vs. Charlton Athletic

Sports Mole looks ahead to this weekend's Championship clash between Queens Park Rangers and Charlton Athletic.

Queens Park Rangers could potentially move back to the top of the Championship table with a victory over Charlton Athletic this weekend.

Harry Redknapp's team started off the season leading the way in the standings, but have since relinquished the number one spot to Burnley, who currently sit two points clear.

The former Premier League outfit have secured two wins in their last six matches, and could only salvage a 1-1 draw with Reading before the international break.

For Charlton, Chris Powell's side linger just three points above the relegation zone following a damaging 4-2 defeat to Leeds United in their last league clash.

Despite being in the bottom half of the table, Charlton have only lost one game in their last six, but they have struggled to find the goals as of late.

The last time the two sides met at Loftus Road, it was 2008 and QPR just edged it with a 2-1 victory, but the Addicks were able to share a point with their opponents in the reverse fixture later that season.
