Sandro close to Queens Park Rangers return

QPR midfielder Sandro reveals that he is closing in on a return to full fitness after suffering knee ligament damage back in November.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Sandro has revealed that he hopes to resume full training in two weeks.

The Brazilian has been out of action since November 22 after suffering medial ligament damage in his knee, but says that he is slowly but surely closing in on a comeback.

He told QPR's website: "I am now feeling much better. I have started to do some running and fitness work, and I hope I can return to full training in a couple of weeks.

"I am doing a lot of gym work because I lost a lot of power in my leg. I could not do any work with it, now I feel better.

"I have started to do running outside and, in the next couple of weeks, I will be working hard to build on this and then return to full training with my teammates."

The 25-year-old joined Rangers from Tottenham Hotspur in September.
