Half-Time Report: Queens Park Rangers, Burnley remain level

Queens Park Rangers and Burnley remain on level terms in their Championship fixture at Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers have impressed in the first 45 minutes under new manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink but failed to find a breakthrough against Burnley.

It took just two minutes for Joey Barton to get a shot away on his return to Loftus Road, but Rob Green was more than equal to his free kick, before at the other end, Matt Phillips sent a half-volley just over the crossbar.

James Perch also went close, with his deflected attempt just missing the target, before midway through the half, he drilled a shot over the bar after a well-worked move.

Burnley had offered very little in the final third, and that allowed QPR to continue to control large parts of the game, with Phillips forcing a super save out of Tom Heaton on the half-hour mark.

Leroy Fer was proving a handful in a forward position, but he could not find a way past Heaton, before he sent another effort from a cross over the bar.
