PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti says that the French title race is not over.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti will not give up hope of winning the French league title.

A number of PSG players felt that their chances of winning the league were over after their 2-1 defeat at Lille on Sunday.

However, the capital club can move to within three points of Montpellier if they beat Saint-Etienne on Wednesday, after the league leaders drew 2-2 with Evian on Tuesday.

"It is a bit bizarre [that they said that]. I think it is going to be very tough, but football can be a bizarre game too," said Ancelotti.

"I don't think the championship is already decided. We have to play our games and do as well as we possibly can.

"We need to focus on our own game, not that of Montpellier. If we take 12 points then we are assured of second place and qualification for the Champions League."

PSG were three points ahead of Montpellier in first place when Ancelotti took over as manager during the winter break.
