Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis: 'We didn't get the breaks'

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis praises his side's performance during the 1-0 defeat to Norwich City.

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis was upbeat after losing his first game in charge at the hands of Norwich City.

The former Stoke City boss refused to criticise his side's performance during the 1-0 reverse, insisting that they did not get the breaks these deserved.

"I thought we did really well. Norwich were the better team for the first 20 minutes and I'm really disappointed we didn't get the breaks," he told BBC Sport.

"I've only had a week with the lads and they have bought into what we're trying to do. You need a bit of quality and you need the Premier League experience especially when you are on top for so long in the second half."

Pulis went on to say that he is hoping to add to his squad when the transfer window reopens in January.

"We will try and make one or two changes if we can in the window. We need someone who can turn the tide," he added.

Gary Hooper scored the only goal of the match in the first half.
