Two former FIFA members received around £14m in bribes related to the World Cup, court documents reveal.

Two former FIFA members received around £14m in bribes related to the World Cup, court documents have revealed.

Former FIFA president Joao Havelange and executive committee member Ricardo Teixeira were paid the money by folded marketing company ISL.

ISL hoped that the money would secure such rights as television coverage, according to a Swiss prosecutor's report published by FIFA on Wednesday. The identities of other FIFA individuals have been left out of the report.

Havelange, who has suffered ill health in the past year, served world football's governing body for 28 years until 1998, while Teixeira was with the organisation for 18 years until this year.
