Newcastle United are reportedly keeping tabs on Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, ahead of a proposed move in January.

Following last week's £300m Saudi-backed takeover, the Magpies have been linked with a plethora of players across Europe, with their new owners looking to make a statement signing in the winter window.

According to Calciomercato, Rabiot is being monitored by Premier League clubs including Newcastle and Juve are prepared to cash in on the 26-year-old.

Juventus are now looking to make a profit on Rabiot, as the midfielder – who joined from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in 2019 – has less than two years remaining on his contract in Turin.

The Serie A giants will also consider the sale of the Frenchman if they are to recruit one of their midfield transfer targets, with Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni and Manchester United's Donny Van de Beek believed to be on their radar in January.

Rabiot, who had a brief spell with Manchester City's academy back in 2008, has made 91 appearances across all competitions for Juventus, scoring 24 goals and providing 14 assists.
