Hull City earn win in thriller against Newcastle United

Sone Aluko's late goal hands Hull City a 3-2 win over Newcastle United, who took the lead twice through Loic Remy.

Sone Aluko scored the winner as Hull City twice came from behind to beat Newcastle United 3-2 in the Premier League.

Newcastle started the match quickly and were ahead in just the 10th minute when Loic Remy headed in a miscued shot from striker partner Papiss Cisse.

Hull should have equalised when Danny Graham was gifted space to direct his header at goal, but Tim Krul reacted well to keep the effort out.

However, the Dutch goalkeeper could do nothing just moments later when Robbie Brady stroked the ball home following an intricate passing move from the visitors.

Despite the scoreline, it was Newcastle who had enjoyed more of the possession and they regained the lead just before the break when Remy collected a loose ball before curling home a powerful effort.

Hull once again made the scores level with the first chance after the interval, Ahmed Elmohamday doing just enough to head in Brady's inviting free kick.

The hosts pushed for a goal to give them the lead for the third time in the afternoon but struggled to break down a determined Hull defence in the latter stages.

Steve Bruce's side found the winner with 14 minutes left on the clock when Aluko finished emphatically from 18 yards out.
