Steve McClaren: "We've done great business"

Newcastle United head coach Steve McClaren praises the signings that the club made during the January transfer window.

Newcastle United head coach Steve McClaren has said that his club has "done great business" during the January transfer window.

The Magpies spent a combined £24m on England internationals Andros Townsend and Jonjo Shelvey, while Seydou Doumbia and Henri Saivet were also recruited.

Asked about his side's dealings, McClaren told reporters: "I think we've done great business. We made four very good signings and I'm absolutely delighted with what we've done."

Tomorrow evening McClaren's men travel to Goodison Park to face Everton.
