Renato Civelli says that Sunday's clash with Marseille is an important game for both sides.

Nice centre-back Renato Civelli has admitted that Sunday's home match against Marseille is "crucial" for both sides.

His side are looking to finish the season strongly to qualify for Europe while Marseille still have a chance of winning Ligue 1.

Civelli said that Nice are tough to beat at home and that should stand them in good stead on Sunday.

"This Sunday will be a great match, especially because it is crucial for both sides," L'Equipe quotes Civelli as saying. "They must finish as high as possible to avoid financial problems. For us, this is primarily a derby.

"We have to bounce back from defeat at Nancy, and we are rarely outplayed at home. It has to continue. If we could win every game 1-0, I would be very happy."

Nice would move above Marseille with victory.
