Louis van Gaal: 'Money is no object at Manchester United'

New Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal hints that money will not be an obstacle as he looks to rebuild the squad this summer.

New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has claimed that money will be no object as he aims to rebuild the squad this summer.

The Dutchman, who was appointed United boss on Monday, has been linked with moves for Luke Shaw, Toni Kroos and Holger Badstuber.

"We don't talk about money. We talked about the players I want. We'll have to see if we can get them. We also talked about who can go," the Manchester Evening News quotes the 62-year-old as saying.

"If you look at their budget, they have to finish high."

Reports have suggested that Van Gaal will be given £200m to spend this summer.
