Transfer rumours: Man United to loan out youngsters, Liverpool reject Owen Beck bid, Crystal Palace want Ronnie Edwards

Sports Mole rounds up the latest January transfer rumours, including Manchester United considering loaning out several youngsters and Liverpool rejecting a bid for Owen Beck.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly ready to loan out several of the club's youngsters during the January transfer window.

At a time when United are ready to oversee the departures of first-team players in order to bolster their FFP position, a number of prospects have been left with minimal game time.

According to Manchester Evening News, Dan Gore is one of the players who may be allowed to link up with another team on a temporary basis.

Despite being highly rated at Old Trafford, the 19-year-old has been limited to two substitute outings this campaign, one in the EFL Cup and another more recently in the Premier League to help United see off Aston Villa.

Joe Hugill is also said to be on the radar of clubs in League One and League Two, with the forward yet to make his senior debut despite his goalscoring exploits in the academy ranks.

One of goalkeeping duo Radek Vitek or Dermot Mee will be given permission to go out on loan in order to secure first-team experience.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly not in any rush to find another club for defender Owen Beck at this stage of the month.

The 21-year-old has just made his return to Anfield have impressed during a loan stint with Dundee in the Scottish Premiership, contributing two goals and two assists from 17 starts.

In the long run, Beck is viewed as third choice behind Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas, but it appears that he could be in line for some game time with the Merseyside giants.

According to the Daily Mail, the Premier League leaders have rejected an approach from Rangers, who have seemingly been won over by his performances North of the border.

Jurgen Klopp is allegedly keen to use Beck as competition at left-back with Robertson yet to return from a dislocated shoulder and Tsimikas out in the long term with a broken collarbone.

Beck's solitary two senior outings for Liverpool came in 2021-22 when he featured from the substitutes' bench against Preston North End and Leicester City in the EFL Cup.

Crystal Palace are reportedly looking to strengthen their squad with the addition of Peterborough United defender Ronnie Edwards.

The 20-year-old has long been tipped to make the step up the English football pyramid having been a first-team player at Posh for a number of years.

Edwards has already made 117 appearances in all competitions, but having a contract until 2025 puts the League One side in a position where they will realistically have to consider any substantial bids.

According to the Evening Standard, Palace remain in negotiations with Peterborough despite having already seen three offers rejected.

As well as a fee or sell-on clause yet to be agreed, Peterborough are reportedly keen to re-sign Edwards on loan for the remainder of the season.
