Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez is reportedly keen to secure a transfer to Liverpool before the end of August.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez has reportedly set his sights on securing a summer transfer to Liverpool.

Saul has been a key man at Atletico for the majority of his career, making a total of 335 appearances in all competitions.

However, it appears increasingly likely that the 26-year-old will be allowed to depart Wanda Metropolitano over the coming weeks.

While there has been interest from other Premier League clubs, CaughtOffside says that Saul wants to sign for Liverpool.

The report claims that the Spain international's representatives are pushing for a switch to Anfield before the end of the current transfer window.

Although the Merseyside giants may have to sell before they can make another high-profile addition, Jurgen Klopp requires a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
