Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Marseille centre-back Nicolas Nkoulou.
The Red Devils have been hit with a number of injury problems in defensive areas throughout the season, and have faced criticism for failing to sign a centre-back in last summer's transfer window.
Several players have been linked with Old Trafford in recent weeks, but according to Buzz Sport, the club's board have identified Nkoulou as the ideal signing.
The 25-year-old, who has previously been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, joined Marseille from Monaco in 2011 and is fast closing on 300 Ligue 1 appearances.
