Report: Juan Mata targeted by trio of Chinese Super League clubs

Juan Mata's time at Manchester United could be coming to an end, as a report claims that a number of Chinese Super League clubs are looking to sign him this summer.

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is reportedly wanted by a number of teams in the mega-rich Chinese Super League.

The 27-year-old will likely be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford should Jose Mourinho take over from Louis van Gaal at the end of the season.

Mata has previously been tipped for a move to Atletico Madrid, but according to The Mirror as many as three clubs in the Far East are also showing an early interest.

United are said to be reluctant to allow one of their star assets to leave for anything less than £30m - a £7m hit on the fee paid to Chelsea to land him from Chelsea two years ago - which could rule Atleti out of the chase.

The bloated figure is not expected to be any major concern for sides competing in the top flight of Chinese football, however, following big-money moves for Ramires, Alex Teixeira and Jackson Martinez.
