Real Madrid are reportedly looking to raise an extra £55m from player sales in order to fund a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Real Madrid must reportedly raise £55m if they are to continue with their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Despite having expressed a desire to find a new challenge, Pogba remains at Old Trafford with just three days left of the summer transfer window.

United have publicly expressed that they expect Pogba to spend another season at the club, although it is unclear whether a late big-money offer would be enough for them to change their stance.

However, AS claims that Real will only step up their efforts to sign the World Cup winner if they can raise another £55m through player sales.

James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and Mariano Diaz are all on the market but as of yet, no clubs have been able to put together an acceptable proposal.

The report adds that Donny van de Beek will only leave Ajax for the Bernabeu if Real shelve their interest in Pogba.
