Manchester United reportedly want any potential suitors for Jesse Lingard to cough up most of the midfielder's £100k weekly wages before they sanction a loan deal.

Manchester United will only sanction a January loan exit for Jesse Lingard if a potential suitor agrees to pay the majority of his £100,000 weekly wages, according to a report.

Lingard is struggling to get a look-in under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has been restricted to two EFL Cup outings for the Red Devils in the 2020-21 campaign.

The England international is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League this season, and Lingard has naturally been linked with an exit amid his lack of first-team action.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United are happy to let Lingard leave on loan, but the 20-time English champions would expect his new club to fork out most of the 28-year-old's mammoth wages.

Sheffield United have been tipped to move for the midfielder next month, while Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers have also been credited with an interest in the Man United outcast.

Lingard has just over six months left to run on his Old Trafford contract, but the Red Devils will supposedly trigger his one-year extension in order to avoid losing the Englishman for nothing in the summer.
