Antonio Conte would want to bring Inter Milan centre-back Stefan de Vrij to Manchester United if he became the club's new boss, according to a report.

Antonio Conte would reportedly want to bring Inter Milan centre-back Stefan de Vrij to Manchester United if he became the English club's new head coach.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has kept his position at the helm despite Sunday's 5-0 loss to Liverpool, and the Norwegian will lead the team against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The 48-year-old's position at the helm is far from secure, though, with Conte continuing to be linked with the role, which could become vacant in the near future.

According to Inter Live, the Italian has already set out a list of demands and one of those is for the club to move for De Vrij during the January transfer window.

The report claims that the 20-time English champions could be ready to offer in the region of €30m (£25.4m) for the Netherlands international, who starred under Conte at Inter.

The 29-year-old is contracted to the Italian giants until June 2023 and has again been a key player for his club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring once in 13 appearances in all competitions.

Conte has also allegedly identified nine players that he would want to build his team around at Old Trafford.
