Borussia Dortmund could reportedly be forced to reduce their £150m asking price for star striker Erling Braut Haaland.

Borussia Dortmund could reportedly be forced to reduce their asking price for star striker Erling Braut Haaland.

The Bundesliga outfit currently value the Norwegian, who has scored a remarkable 33 goals in 32 appearances so far this campaign, at around £150m.

However, Dortmund may have to accept a compromised fee this summer or accept losing Haaland for £65m next year when his release clause can be activated.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had previously said that it would be "impossible" to sign Haaland this summer because of his valuation, however since speaking to the Daily Mirror, the Spaniard has not ruled out the club spending over £100m on a player in the near future.

"So far the club has decided not to spend close to £100m for one player. Maybe in the future it's going to happen if they decide it's necessary to improve the team for the next five, ten years, for many reasons," he said.

City are one of several elite clubs in Europe including rivals Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are all believed to be interested in signing Haaland this summer.
