Team News: Juan Mata starts for Manchester United

Juan Mata is recalled to the Manchester United starting XI for today's visit of Everton in the Premier League.

Juan Mata has returned to the Manchester United starting lineup for today's visit of Everton in the Premier League.

The Spaniard replaces the suspended Wayne Rooney following the United captain's red card during last weekend's 2-1 win over West Ham United.

Louis van Gaal has made one other change to his XI as Antonio Valencia replaces the injured Ander Herrera. Meanwhile, Robin van Persie partners Radamel Falcao up front.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has brought in four new faces on the back of Thursday's 1-1 draw with Krasnodar in the Europa League.

Muhamed Besic, Steven Pienaar, Steven Naismith and Romelu Lukaku are all recalled by the Spaniard, while Samuel Eto'o and Leon Osman are among those who have to settle for a place on the bench.
