Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester United could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Michael Carrick will have to do without the suspended Harry Maguire for his first Premier League game in charge of Manchester United against Chelsea on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

The England international was sent off in the humiliating 4-1 defeat to Watford last weekend, and with Raphael Varane expected to remain out through injury, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof should pair up in front of David de Gea.

Alex Telles could earn another chance on the left-hand side with Luke Shaw still doubtful due to concussion, while there is virtually no chance of Diogo Dalot displacing Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right.

Paul Pogba is still facing several weeks on the sidelines with his thigh injury, and Fred is nursing a twisted ankle, so Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay will likely partner up in midfield.

Mason Greenwood tested positive for coronavirus earlier this month, but Jadon Sancho was always likely to start here after finally getting off the mark for his new club against Villarreal in midweek.

Donny van de Beek earned a rare start in that contest after his consolation versus Watford but is sure to make way for Bruno Fernandes, with Anthony Martial also likely to drop out as Marcus Rashford comes back in.

With Edinson Cavani still struggling with tendon problems, Cristiano Ronaldo - who has never scored against Chelsea in the Premier League - will act as the focal point of the attack.
