Daniel James is reportedly on a muscle-building programme as he looks to build on his encouraging start to his Manchester United career.

Manchester United have reportedly placed Daniel James on a muscle-building programme as the Wales international looks to improve on what has been an impressive start to his Red Devils career.

James joined United from Swansea City during the summer transfer window, and the 21-year-old has contributed three goals in eight Premier League appearances at the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

The attacker has been accused of diving in the early stages of the season, though, and has twice picked up yellow cards in the Premier League for perceived simulation.

According to The Sun, the Welshman has been 'working hard to add muscle' as he looks to build on his encouraging form in the opening weeks of the season.

James was on the verge of joining Leeds United from Swansea during the January transfer window only for the move to fall through at the final moment with the Welsh club refusing to sell.

The attacker has started and finished each of United's last six Premier League matches.
