Cambridge United captain Tom Champion relishing Old Trafford trip

Cambridge United captain Tom Champion describes his side's upcoming trip to Manchester United as a "big reward" for the club.

Cambridge United captain Tom Champion has admitted that he is relishing the prospect of taking on Manchester United at Old Trafford after holding the Red Devils to a goalless draw in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The League Two outfit's skipper described facing Louis van Gaal's high-profile players as "surreal", but said that he will remember the experience for the rest of his life.

"The boys can be proud of their performance and we've got a big reward to come playing at Old Trafford," Sky Sports News quotes Champion as saying.

"Thinking back to the days working in an office nine till five and then being alongside those players is definitely surreal, but something I'll remember for the rest of my life."

United currently sit 76 places above Cambridge in the Football League pyramid.
