Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes reportedly 'dreams' of securing a move to Manchester City this summer.

Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes is reportedly 'dreaming' of a summer transfer to Manchester City.

The 23-year-old has been a constant fixture in the middle of the park for the Portuguese champions this term; making 44 appearances in all competitions and registering three goals and five assists in the process.

Nunes's strong form for Sporting has supposedly attracted interest from the Premier League, with Man City adding him to their transfer shortlist for the summer window.

The Premier League champions have now seemingly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Nunes, with A Bola - via the Manchester Evening News - reporting that the midfielder is desperate to secure a move to the Etihad.

The report adds that Nunes is ready to snub interest from Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers to move to Man City, and 'informal' discussions have already taken place over a possible transfer.

Nunes only signed a new deal with Sporting until the summer of 2026 in October, putting the Portuguese giants in a strong position to demand a hefty fee.
