Vincent Kompany: "Our reaction was brilliant"

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany hails the reaction of his side after Fulham staged a second-half comeback in Manuel Pellegrini's side's win at Craven Cottage.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has hailed his side's resilience as they held off a second-half comeback from Fulham to win 4-2 at Craven Cottage.

The Citizens took a 2-0 lead into the break but strikes from Kieran Richardson and a own goal from Kompany himself handed the Cottagers a way back into the game, only for Jesus Navas and James Milner to fire Manuel Pellegrini's side to victory.

Kompany told BBC Sport: "We knew it would not be easy and they have a new manager.

"It was difficult but if you count the chances we had then we could have scored twice as many. Our substitutes made the difference as we had dropped a bit but our reaction was brilliant."

City are second in the Premier League following their win.
