Joe Hart targets Manchester City quadruple

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart suggests that the team should be looking to win the quadruple this season.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has suggested that the team should be looking to win the quadruple this season.

Manuel Pellegrini's side, who reached the League Cup semi-finals last week, currently sit third in the Premier League and have secured their place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League, while their FA Cup campaign will also begin next month.

Hart has claimed that a club like City should be aiming to win every trophy that is available to them.

"It will be a successful season if we win all the trophies," the England international told Sky Sports News.

"We can't say we want to lose that one or we accept we are going to lose then. We have to go out to win all four and see what happens. We are ambitious as a team, as a club and as individuals. We want to do well in the Champions League and I have always defended us from what people say, I don't care what people say about Manchester City.

"We know where we are, we've been here a long time and we know what we are trying to achieve. We want to do well for the club and we want to do well for each other."

City, whose last trophy was the 2014 Premier League title, have never lifted more than two pieces of silverware in the same season.
