Paul Dickov trusts Reece Wabara at left-back

Paul Dickov says that James Husband's injury should not damage his side too much as Manchester City loanee Reece Wabara is capable of filling in at left-back.

Paul Dickov has said that the injury to first-choice left-back James Husband will not hurt his side as Manchester City loanee Reece Wabara is capable of deputising in that position.

Husband is due to have an operation on Friday on his dislocated shoulder and although Dickov said that the club may now look at someone else, he is confident in Wabara's ability.

"We will now look at whether we need to bring someone in on loan for cover but Reece came in Saturday and probably had his best game for us, covered the left back position well," Dickov told the club's official website.

"When we first signed Reece, I knew he could play in the left side position from when I had him at Oldham and also from watching him play. The more players like this, who can cover other positions when need its better for us."

Dickov also said today that Federico Macheda's loan spell with the club has come to an end after the Manchester United striker picked up an injury on Saturday.
