Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says that Phil Foden should be ready to make his return from injury after the international break.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that Phil Foden should be ready to make his return for the club in the Premier League clash with Leicester City on September 11.

The England international has missed the recent clashes with Leicester and Tottenham Hotspur due to the foot injury that he picked up while representing his country at Euro 2020.

Foden will again not be available against Norwich City on Saturday, and he is also set to miss out against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on August 28.

However, speaking on Friday afternoon, Guardiola said that the versatile attacker should be available for selection after the September international break.

The 21-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 season for the English champions, scoring 16 times and registering 10 assists in 50 appearances in all competitions.

Man City will attempt to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to Tottenham on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season when they host Norwich on Saturday.
