Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that there is "no chance" of his side signing Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland this summer.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that there is "no chance" of his side signing Erling Braut Haaland during this summer's transfer window.

The Norway international is widely expected to leave Borussia Dortmund in the upcoming market, with a £67m release clause in his contract due to become active.

However, the overall package of the deal could be somewhere in the region of £300m, including wages and various agent fees.

Liverpool, along with a number of other leading European clubs, have been credited with an interest in the striker over the last couple of years.

Klopp, though, has insisted that the 21-year-old will not be heading for Anfield during this summer's transfer window due to the "crazy" numbers involved to sign him.

"We won't be going there," Klopp told Bild. "The numbers involved are just crazy – we'll be having nothing to do with it. No chance! To be honest, I don't want anything to do with it. It's not fun."

Manchester City are believed to lead the race for Haaland, but Real Madrid and Barcelona also continue to be credited with an interest in a player who has scored 80 goals and registered 21 assists in 83 appearances for BVB in all competitions.
