Team News: Peter Crouch leads Stoke City line at Anfield

Peter Crouch will lead the Stoke City line in their Premier League clash away to Liverpool on Tuesday night.

Experienced forward Peter Crouch will lead the Stoke City line in their Premier League clash away to Liverpool.

Former Liverpool striker Crouch will make just his second league start of the campaign at the tip of the Potters' attack, with Bojan Krkic and Wilfried Bony only named on the bench for the visitors.

Xherdan Shaqiri is also left out of Stoke's starting XI once again as Mame Biram Diouf and Jonathan Walters are chosen to operate in the two wide positions.

As for Liverpool, head coach Jurgen Klopp has named the same team that recorded a 1-0 win away to Everton last time out.

Simon Mignolet keeps his spot between the sticks, while Divock Origi is once again chosen to lead the line ahead of Daniel Sturridge, who is named among the substitutes.

Liverpool: Mignolet; Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana; Firmino, Origi, Mane
Subs: Karius, Sturridge, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Ejaria, Woodburn

Stoke City: Grant; Johnson, Shawcross, M.Indi, Pieters; Diouf, Allen, Whelan, Imbula, Walters; Crouch
Subs: Given, Bony, Afellay, Adam, Shaqiri, Bojan, Ramadan
