Luis Suarez 'considering last-ditch appeal to Court of Arbitration'

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is reportedly considering an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Luis Suarez is reportedly planning to launch a final appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in a bid to put his four-month suspension on hold.

The Uruguay international, who was banned from all football-related activity for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup, has already had an appeal rejected by FIFA.

However, Suarez is now considering taking his case to the CAS in the hope that they will postpone his ban while investigating the matter, according to the Daily Mail.

Having his suspension placed on hold would pave the way for the striker to start the new season with Barcelona - the club he is expected to join from Liverpool later this week - although he would also lose the close-season part of the ban and miss more competitive matches.

Suarez has 10 days to request in writing the reasons that his FIFA appeal was rejected, after which he can make his plea to the CAS.
