Mohamed Salah could break Robbie Fowler's record for the most left-footed goals in Premier League history if he manages to score a brace versus Leicester on Friday night.

Mohamed Salah could break Robbie Fowler's record for the most left-footed goals in Premier League history when Liverpool face Leicester City on Friday evening.

The man affectionately referred to as 'God' by supporters of the red side of Merseyside scored 105 goals with his left foot in his multiple stints in the Premier League.

The Egyptian has scored four goals in the last four games, and is sat on 104 left-footed goals, just one behind the former England international.

One goal would equal the record, while two would leave Salah as the new record-holder to add to the multiple competition records he already holds.

The 30-year-old holds the record for the most goals scored in a 38-game season (32), the most games scored in during a season (24), the most left-footed goals scored in a single season (25), the first player to score on the opening day of six consecutive Premier League seasons (2017-18 to 2022-23) and the highest-scoring African player in league history (127).

The former Chelsea man has scored a total of 172 goals for the Reds in all competitions, equalling Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool total in the victory over Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
