Sam Allardyce hopes West Ham United can "challenge" Liverpool

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce is hopeful that his side can "challenge" Liverpool in Sunday's Premier League clash at Upton Park.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce is hopeful that his team can give Liverpool a test on Sunday at Upton Park.

The two sides will go head to head with the Reds hunting for the Premier League title and the Hammers aiming for a top-10 finish in the table.

"We're on a top-six run of form at the moment," Allardyce said in Friday's press conference. "Hopefully that will give us the chance to challenge Liverpool on Sunday.

"The rest of the team has grown in quality and confidence too. We've got a big job on our hands but we're really looking forward to it."

The Hammers can secure their third win on the bounce if they beat the league leaders this weekend.
