Top 10 Liverpool strikers of the Premier League era - #5

Sports Mole's countdown of the top 10 greatest Liverpool strikers from the Premier League era continues with number five - Roberto Firmino.

Narrowly pipping his strike partner into the top five, Roberto Firmino is not a centre-forward in the typical mould but seems perfectly suited to the style of football that Jurgen Klopp likes to play.

As likely to create a goal for his teammates as score one himself, Firmino has reached double figures in all four of his Premier League campaigns at Liverpool so far, including 11 already in 2018-19 at the time of writing.

It was the 2017-18 season which really earmarked the Brazilian as one of the Premier League's best forwards, scoring 26 goals and assisting 10 more across all competitions as Liverpool reached the Champions League final.

In the Premier League alone Firmino has scored 47 goals in 132 appearances for the club and is now the highest-scoring Brazilian in the competition's history.

Often underrated by opposition fans, Klopp has repeatedly suggested that the "world-class" Firmino is one of the most important cogs in the club's recent revival under the German.
