Brian McDermott admits uncertainty over Leeds United future

Leeds United boss Brian McDermott admits that he remains unsure if his job is safe after making a dramatic return to the club.

Leeds United manager Brian McDermott has admitted that he is unsure if his job is safe after making a dramatic return to the club.

McDermott was said to have been sacked on Friday night before being reinstated over the weekend.

The former Reading boss confirmed that he was still in charge at Elland Road during a press conference on Monday afternoon.

"I've no idea if I'm more secure now. I can't answer that. The most important thing in football is to win games," he told reporters.

"When I came in, I signed a three-year deal and we talked about a long-term vision with a direction for the football club with stability.

"Basically I'm responsible for all football matters at the club. No one will be invited to the dugout or dressing room to talk to the players unless I okay it. I'm assured I talk to [current owners] GFH and GFH only."

Leeds continue their Championship campaign on Saturday when they travel to Yeovil Town.
