Robert Snodgrass scores twice late on to earn Leeds a come-from-behind win over Burnley in an all-Lancashire clash.

Robert Snodgrass scored two second-half goals as Leeds claimed a 2-1 victory over Burnley at Turfmoor this afternoon.

Jay Rodriguez gave the home side the lead when he headed in from Kieran Trippier's deep cross to give the Clarets a ninth-minute advantage.

Eddie Howe's side dominated the first half and were unfortunate not to extend their lead, with Rodriguez and Chris McCann both denied by in-form Leeds stopper Alex McCarthy.

McCarthy firstly saved well from Rodriguez's close range effort before tipping McCann's fierce low shot around the post.

Chances were limited for the visitors, with only Ross McCormack really testing Burnley keeper Lee Grant, who was lucky to stay on the pitch in the first half.

The Clarets stopper appeared to handle the ball outside of his area when attempting to block McCormack's effort on goal.

However, Grant remained on the pitch and was beaten on 74 minutes when Snodgrass slid in at the back-post to convert Lloyd Sam's cross.

The Scotland international then completed the turnaround when he was again free at the far post to chest down Ramon Nunez's floated cross and fire home to score United's winner.
