Preview: Leeds United vs. Reading

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Championship fixture at Elland Road between Leeds United and Reading.

It would be fair to conclude that Elland Road was not a happy environment on Saturday evening.

Hosting Leeds United shipped five goals to Bolton Wanderers before Matt Smith scored a late consolation, which meant that the Whites' winless run has extended to four matches.

Next up for Leeds boss Brian McDermott is an encounter against his former club Reading, who make the trip to Yorkshire tomorrow night.

England Under-21 internationals Jack Butland and Connor Wickham were given their home debuts against Bolton and the loanee duo are expected to keep their places against the Royals, while Sam Byram may also come into the team.

As for Reading manager Nigel Adkins, he could well call Kaspars Gorkss, Garath McCleary and Jobi McAnuff back into his lineup after the trio started as substitutes last time out against Brighton & Hove Albion, but Pavel Pogrebnyak is a doubt with an ankle complaint.

Leeds have failed to beat Reading during the last seven meetings between the two clubs.
