Preview: Doncaster Rovers vs. Leeds United

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between Yorkshire rivals Doncaster and Leeds.

Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United go head to head in a Yorkshire derby on Saturday, with both sides needing a win for very different reasons.

Doncaster currently sit just two places and four points above the relegation zone and will be especially wary of getting dragged too close to the bottom three due to their poor goal difference, which is the second worst in the league.

Paul Dickov's side were comfortably beaten by Bolton Wanderers in their last outing after a mini-revival that had seen them pick up seven points from a possible 12.

Donny's home form has been their saving grace so far this season, with 13 of their 20 points coming at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Dickov will once again be without Jamie McCombe and Rob Jones, but the hosts will be given a boost by the expected inclusion of Richie Wellens, who has overcome a slight knock in time for Saturday's game.

Leeds, meanwhile, have beaten Doncaster five times in a row and will be looking to make it six straight against their Yorkshire rivals.

Brian McDermott's men come into this match in good form having lost just one of their last six matches, a run that has put them in the mix of teams vying for a playoff spot.

A win could be enough for Leeds to jump from eighth into the top six in the Championship table, with just one point separating them from fifth-placed Nottingham Forest.

Their away form leaves a lot to be desired, however, as Leeds have picked up just three points from the last 21 available on their travels.

McDermott will be without Dexter Blackstock, who has returned to parent club Forest having suffered a season-ending injury, while the game may also come too soon for Scott Wootton.
