Blaise Matuidi excited by "genius" Paulo Dybala

Blaise Matuidi brands Juventus teammate Paulo Dybala "a genius", and says that the Argentine will become "a very, very big player" in football.

Blaise Matuidi has branded Juventus teammate Paulo Dybala "a genius", and claimed that the Argentine will become "a very, very big player" in football.

Dybala has scored 59 times in 124 matches for Juventus since joining the Old Lady from Palermo in the summer of 2015. This term, the 24-year-old has managed 17 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions - including 14 in 20 Serie A fixtures.

Matuidi has paid tribute to the potential of his teammate, who has reportedly been the subject of interest from a host of European clubs since making the move to Turin.

"I see [Dybala] becoming a very, very big player," Matuidi told L'Equipe. "With the ball, he's a genius.

"Mire has already done some very good things and still has a lot of good years ahead of him, and when you're close to him, you realise that he's a great player, he knows how to do everything."

Dybala is yet to score in 12 appearances for the Argentina national team.
