How Juventus could line up for their first game back

Sports Mole looks at how Juventus could line up for their first game back against AC Milan.

Juventus are due to resume their 2019-20 campaign with the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final against AC Milan on June 12.

The Old Lady have not been in action since beating Inter Milan 2-0 in Serie A on March 8 due to the coronavirus outbreak, but football is slowly returning across the globe.

Maurizio Sarri's side will be looking to book their spot in the Coppa Italia final when they return to action against Milan, and the tie is delicately poised following a 1-1 draw in the first leg back in February.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Italian champions could line up for their first game back.

POSS JUVE XI v MIL

Out: Merih Demiral (knee)
Doubtful: Gonzalo Higuain (thigh)

Juve will be unable to call upon Gonzalo Higuain, with the experienced centre-forward unavailable due to a muscular problem that he picked up during a training session.

Merih Demiral is also still absent due to a long-term knee injury, but the Old Lady are otherwise in strong shape as they prepare to return to the field against Milan.

There are not expected to be many changes from the side that started against Inter last time out, although Higuain's absence could open the door for Paulo Dybala to start through the middle.

Matthijs de Ligt is battling Giorgio Chiellini for the spot alongside Leonardo Bonucci, while Sarri has plenty of options for change in the middle of the park.

Aaron Ramsey could keep his spot having impressed against Inter, while Blaise Matuidi might keep his position ahead of Miralem Pjanic, who continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona.

Adrien Rabiot is another player who could be on his way out this summer, and it would therefore be a surprise to see the Frenchman named in the starting XI.
