Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how France could line up for their World Cup Qualifying clash with Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday.

Reigning world champions France have been hit with numerous injury woes before they resume 2022 World Cup qualification with a game against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday night.

Les Bleus' two first-choice full-backs in Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez will play no part in September's fixtures, while Marcus Thuram, Adrien Rabiot and Ousmane Dembele are also forced to miss out.

Olivier Giroud, Wissam Ben Yedder, Moussa Sissoko and Clement Lenglet represent four players left out by Didier Deschamps, who has instead elected to introduce Aurelien Tchouameni, Jordan Veretout, Moussa Diaby and Theo Hernandez to the team for the first time.

Hernandez would be a like-for-like replacement for his brother on the left, but the more experienced Lucas Digne may be preferred by Deschamps, who has fielded Jules Kounde on the right during his early international career and could do so again here.

There should be no other surprises in the backline, with Raphael Varane and Presnel Kimpembe shielding Hugo Lloris, but N'Golo Kante exacerbated an ankle issue during Chelsea's game with Liverpool and is now a fresh doubt.

With Rabiot also sidelined, Corentin Tolisso could be called upon to partner Paul Pogba in midfield, while Antoine Griezmann will likely be fielded in a more advanced role behind returning talisman Karim Benzema.

Kingsley Coman is the most likely candidate to feature on the right, while Kylian Mbappe will hope to shrug off a poor Euro 2020 campaign and intense speculation over his future as he completes the XI.

France possible starting lineup: Lloris; Kounde, Varane, Kimpembe, Digne; Pogba, Tolisso; Coman, Griezmann, Mbappe; Benzema
