Giuseppe Rossi hails "incredible" Fiorentina comeback

Giuseppe Rossi describes Fiorentina's 4-2 win over Juventus as "incredible" after scoring a hat-trick in a remarkable second-half turnaround.

Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi has described his side's fightback against Juventus this afternoon as an "incredible" achievement, as La Viola came from behind to beat the defending Italian champions.

Rossi scored a second-half hat-trick as Vincenzo Montella's side overturned a two-goal deficit, earning their first home win over Juve in 15 years in a 4-2 success.

Despite netting three times in 15 minutes, Rossi has insisted that the unlikely comeback was a team effort, crediting La Viola's desire and declaring that they are now ready to mount a genuine Serie A title challenge.

He told Sky Sport Italia: "They are three very important goals, but the team had an incredible performance in the second half.

"We reacted so well, we all wanted to fight back and it is down to everyone that we achieved it. Montella told us to give more, as we got a bit scared after the first goal. We listened to him and did what the coach wanted.

"We're so happy, this team is built to win. There is great talent on the pitch and in the stands, so we know after this performance that we can challenge anyone."

The 26-year-old has now scored eight goals in as many league games this season, helping Fiorentina climb to fifth in Serie A.
