Report: Paul Tisdale in frame for Fulham job

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale is a leading candidate for the head coach role vacancy at Championship side Fulham, according to a report.

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale is reportedly a frontrunner for the vacant head coach role at Fulham.

The Championship side are looking for a new boss after sacking Kit Symons last week following a year in charge.

Tisdale has been in charge of Exeter for nine years, having been appointed in June 2006 after leaving Team Bath, making him the second longest-serving manager in the top four English divisions behind Arsenal's Arsene Wenger.

During his time with the Grecians, the 42-year-old has led them into the Football League and then into League One, where they stayed for three seasons before dropping back into League Two in 2012.

According to Sky Sports News, Tisdale is on a three-man shortlist that Fulham have drawn up, which also includes former Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson and Reading's Steve Clarke.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce and ex-Charlton Athletic and West Ham United boss Alan Curbisley have also been linked with the job at Craven Cottage.

Fulham, who have won just twice in their last seven outings in the league, are currently 12th in the table.
