Evian 1-3 Rennes

Rennes boost their hopes for European football next season.

Rennes left it late to record a smash-and-grab 3-1 victory away at Evian TG.

Jerome Leroy broke the deadlock for the home side in the 34th minute when he applied the finishing touch to a fast counter attack.

Rennes struck back two minutes after the break when Youssef Hadji latched onto Romain Danze's cross.

The visitors put themselves firmly in contention for European qualification when Jonathan Pitroipa scored two minutes from time.

Melvut Erding then made sure of the points after scoring from an acute angle in injury time.
